Welcome!

I am a freelance journalist, culture and film critic, and radio producer and manager currently based in Boston, MA. I’m currently a fourth-year Journalism major and honors student at Emerson College, with minors in Literature and Post-Colonial studies.

My love for film criticism began with a New Years Resolution to watch all the Oscar-nominated films, a goal which quickly snowballed into an unshakable obsession with understanding cinema. I am currently a staff writer for Boston Hassle, and I also aim to combine film criticism with Post-Colonial theory in my academic studies. I also post occasional essays on my Substack, party trick. I’m particularly fond of the works of David Lynch, Agnes Varda, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

In addition to my writing and reporting, I am currently the general manager for WECB, Emerson’s only student-run radio station. I strive to revitalize the art of radio in overseeing over 100 student DJs, coordinating both large and small scale live events, booking local artists, and hosting my own weekly radio show, Before Midnight. On-air, I aim to dissect the intersections of film, music, and culture by blending new and old music with in-depth interviews and insightful commentary, with topics ranging from the history of the Internet to all the best samples in Lana Del Rey’s discography. My work in radio allows me to blend my passion for the music industry with insightful cultural criticism.
